I originally set out for this blog to be about nutrition and me using my fancy dietitian skills to make the world a better place. I will still do that to some extent, but I'm going to be a little more selfish and focus on me - just a bit.
I just hit my 30s and I've done everything according to plan - at least I thought. I made it through college twice - with a substantial amount of student loans to boot. I got a job that has a salary and benefits and a 401K. Even with trudging along in "the way life if supposed to be", I got bored.
I do side projects - photography, consulting jobs, exercising - and now I'm finding that those side projects arewanting needing to be more front and center. I know as long as I have a bum knee, my dreams of being a female MMA fighter are kind of crushed. I mean, one kick to the left knee and I'm TKO'd.
One thing that I started dabbling in was obstacle racing. I did my first Warrior Dash in March 2011 here in New Orleans.
I was addicted to playing in the mud. I loved the basic obstacles that needed sheer strength and determination to conquer. I wanted more. I completed my second Warrior Dash this Spring in Jackson, MS. It was freezing and gross out, but we had an amazing time.
My plans for this blog is to now show you how I'm progressing in my journey to become one of the female elite obstacle racers in the nation. Hope you enjoy.
Death Race - I'm coming for ya!
